Michael was probably the most exciting performer of his generation. He ranks alongside Elvis Presley and the Beatles as the biggest pop sensations of all time.
Michael Jackson was preparing for what was to be his biggest comeback. He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows to be held at the London arena. The first set of shows was to be July 13. He was actually rehearsing in Los Angeles for the concert.
His friend, singer Dionne Warwick, was reported to have said of Michael Jackson: "We have lost an icon in our industry."
